The Brookings Cafeteria

Sep 30, 2016

Michael O’Hanlon, senior fellow in Foreign Policy and co-director of the Center for 21st Century Security and Intelligence, discusses ISIS, refugees, trade, and other foreign policy issues weighing on the minds of voters. He also addresses many of the issues the next president will have to deal with, whether or not they are part of the campaign discussion. O’Hanlon also previews the new Election 2016 and America’s Future project, a series of policy briefs and events on the biggest issues facing the nation.

Also in this episode, John Hudak, deputy director of the Center for Effective Public Management and senior fellow in Governance Studies, provides an analysis of the first presidential debate. This episode also includes an excerpt from an episode of Brookings’ Elections 101 Video Series where E.J. Dionne, senior fellow in Governance Studies, explains polling and how to determine the accuracy of polls.

Finally, Dany Bahar, fellow in the Global Economy and Development program, is featured in a new segment titled, “Ask an Expert,” where we take BCP to the streets and get a passerby to ask one of our Brookings experts a question.
